Future Vision

The establishment of Liberty Christian Churches in other parts of the world is part of our future vision, however at present it is still to be realised.

For many years we have been asked to commence Liberty Christian Churches in other parts of the world. We had previously resisted these requests for various reasons. Our major reason was that we didn’t want to go ahead with such a major endeavour unless we were sure that the Lord was in it.

Need for Understanding and Trust

Various pastors, especially in Africa, have asked if their churches could become affiliated with Liberty. While we have been happy to be unofficially connected with them we have, however, realised that be a Liberty Christian Church there would need to be a clear understanding and trust between both the Melbourne church and the international church.

We are presently working on the requirements for another church to become an officially recognised Liberty Christian Church.

Different Types of Liberty Christian Churches

We see that there will probably be two types of Liberty Christian Churches. The first would be major apostolic churches that we have helped to establish from the start. They would include most of the features of Liberty Christian Church in Melbourne and become a training and resource centre for the nation in which they are established.

The second type of church would be a church that has come under the apostolic covering of Liberty Christian Church – Melbourne. As long as these churches fulfill our requirements they could remain Liberty Christian Churches.

Basic Requirements

One of the major requirements of any church that desires to become a Liberty Christian Church would be the need for their pastor and leaders to successfully complete our Liberty Bible College course. We would also expect some type of financial accountability and to know the senior pastor is a man of proven integrity. We have become aware that some pastors’ motives for wanting to be connected to Liberty Christian Church are to be supported financially.

For most pastors our connection to them through ACMI is quite sufficient. Through ACMI they are able to receive many spiritual benefits.
