i think we all have fears that dog us for long times.
I think part of leaving mine behind could be confronting it.
And SOAP has been great, its something i want to continue throughout 2009.
I think if I start spending more time focusing on God glorifying and praise worthy things then i find it helps brake off the old and the ugly in my life.
My struggle has been consistency to the end.
But for some reason i know that Grace will be there not only to help us start well but to end well.

Dear Rob and Cathy,
Always great to hear from. You guys may be up in the hills and not always able to make it to the Sunday service; but you are very much part of Liberty as far as we are concerned.
The work you are doing through "Chestnut Hill Lodge" is a wonderful ministry to the body of Christ. Also your love for others and faith in God are an inspiration to us all.
Be greatly blessed in 2009.
Love from Richard, Di, Laura and Katie.

Hi David!
Great to hear from you. Of course you are welcome to participate.
We always appreciate connections with other parts of the body of Christ and especially from those who have been part of journey.
God bless you.

hi guys,
Fantastic site. Sounds like good things are happening! I am working through the same Q's as you: how can we as men of God stand in this fallen age.. Married, single, employed, between jobs, students, volunteers, friends of the lowly, servants of God? I would love to participate in the discussion/blogg - although I am outside 'the local area' phisically, perhaps not in spirit though! I am wondering if I would be welcome, or is this more a 'members' discussion?

Kind regards, to a church of Champions!

Dear Kerridge Family,
Thank you for your love and support of us both again throughout the year.
We pray that you will all have a peaceful time just being together and enjoying being family.
Jesus has given us so much to celebrate, including being empowered by His Spirit. He will certainly do this again and more in 2009.
Praise Him for His wonderful love.
Cathy and Robert

As we continue hearing feed-back about SOAP I am so encouraged. It is amazing how God continually answers questions and prepares us for what's up ahead through the designated readings.
I am finding it is better to do something each day even if it is not all that is designated. On occasions I only have time to read the chapters and cannot write my responses. On other occasions I only get to do a small section of what was designated. It is the discipline of being in the Word on a regular basis that I love so much.

Last Saturday night Robyn Durham came forward for prayer. She hobbled to the front and it was obvious that she was in a great deal of pain. She had injured her back while reaching for something in the supermarket the day before and mentioned how her back was not only causing her pain, but she also had pain shooting down one leg. Kathryn and I laid our hands on her and prayed for healing. I then asked her, "how is it now?" "I think it feels a bit better", she replied. A bit better wasn't what we were after, so we prayed again. "It's definitely improving", she said with a little more enthusiasm this time. Now Kathryn, spurred on by this encouragement prayed even more fervently and suddenly Robyn cried out, "I'm healed. All the pain has gone", and with that, Robyn began to jump up and down, as well as bending forward, backward, and sideways, testing her back out. The next morning Robyn was still healed and still excited about the miracle she had received the night before. The moral of this story is, don't give up. If the healing doesn't happen after praying the first time, keep right on praying till it does!

Our family has been doing SOAP at different levels for a few weeks now and we usually discuss it at the dinner table. SOAP has helped us to be more consistent and disciplined in our bible reading and application. Pastor Richard, we missed seeing you at McDonalds to discuss the SOAP readings these past few Mondays whilst you were in Bali!
