ABOUT US

Our Name – Liberty
Galatians 5:13 “…we have been called to liberty!”

Our Logo- Eagle
An eagle soaring high above the clouds indicates our commitment to living and helping others live in the liberty that comes from believing in Christ, knowing Him and allowing Him to lead our lives.

Our Theme - “Free to be all God created us to be so we are free to do all God created us to do”
We believe that as we come to know Christ, to know what He did for us and to enjoy the wonderful freedom we have in relationship with Him, the freer we are to fulfil the ministry call that God created for us to do.

Study - A Biblical Foundation for the Call to Liberty

Our call, as well as being a specific call from God, is a very Biblical call.

Isaiah 61:1

[The Good News of the ministry of Jesus Christ prophesied in the Old Testament] “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound”

Luke 4:18

[The Good News of the ministry of Jesus Christ fulfilled in the Gospels] “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken-hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed…”

The great commission of Jesus Christ to believers was to preach and demonstrate this same gospel. (Matt 28:18-20; Mark 16:16-20; Acts 1:8)

2 Corinthians 3:17

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

Romans 8:21

[God’s desire is for all creation] “…because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.”

Galatians 2:4

“…false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage)…”

Galatians 5:1

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.”

Galatians 5:13

“For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.”

Isaiah 58:6

“Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke?

John 8:32

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

John 8:36

“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Romans 6:7

”For he who has died has been freed from sin.”

Romans 6:18

And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

Romans 6:20

For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.

Romans 6:22

But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.

Romans 8:2

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
