MIKE AND REGINA CAREW
In February 2007, Mike Carew, a member of Liberty Christian Church for many years, sold up everything he owned and moved over to Zambia. He felt God call him to develop a Children’s Village and some sustainable and foundational programs for this village. The project is called ‘Children Of Destiny’ and is part of Liberty Africa. In April 2011, a few weeks after getting married, Mike’s new wife, Regina (also a long-time member of Liberty Christian Church), moved over to Zambia to contribute to this great work.
THE PROJECTThis exciting project is developing a children’s village for some of Zambia’s many orphans and disadvantaged children. Zambia currently has one of the largest AIDS orphan populations per capita in the world. The project aims to provide clothing, accommodation with full time care, nutrition, medical aid (a small clinic will be built) and education through a holistic school program and the construction of a school. Alongside the school, children’s cottages, and small clinic, there will be commercial fish ponds set up to help sustain the project. The project also aims to develop a Liberty Bible College on the property. Constructions are well underway on Mike’s 16.5 acre property in Kitwe, Zambia. This project is sustained by donations, so your contribution would be of great value.
