17/12/09 THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD 2 Peter 1:2-3
Scripture – 2 Peter 1:2-3 “2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
Observation – Grace (God’s free unmerited favour and power) and peace (absence of all fear and anxiety) will be multiplied to us we increase in our knowledge of God the Father and of Jesus Christ. Also through the knowledge of Him, His divine power then gives us everything that is associated with life and godliness.
Application – This means that the greater our knowledge of the Lord, the greater the release of divine power that multiplies grace and peace in our lives. As we grow in our knowledge of God we will enjoy a much fuller and godly life. John 17:3 indicates that eternal life is to know God and the Lord Jesus. As I see more of Him and fellowship with Him more I experience more true life.
Prayer – Lord, my heart’s desire is to know you more intimately and fully. Please impart to me a spirit of revelation that will reveal You more in my life.
