Hunger for the Presence of God

Hunger for the Presence of God

It is a long time since I was aware of so many people desiring God’s presence. It appears that as the world is falling apart and the pressures upon us increase we are looking for something real. There is nothing more real than God Himself.

There is also an increasing desire for worship. Worship and the desire for God’s presence seem to go hand in hand. I know that I am growing in my desire for worship. On a Sunday there are times when I would be happy to just keep on worshipping and forget about the preaching – even if I am doing the preaching!
One of the consequences of worship and God’s presence is the increase in miracles. It shouldn’t be that we worship so we get miracles. No, no no. It is just what happens when we get our eyes on Jesus and He is in our midst.

I would love to hear from you about this. Is what I am saying something you are also noticing?

God bless you.

Absolutely! A heart of worship is the key.
Those with a heart of worship worship God with their life not just their singing on a Sunday.

    Our plans or his.

I read recently that the Greek word for worship is proskuneo which means to kiss. When we worship, there is that tenderness of attitude of ‘kissing’ God.
I think this is pretty amazing.
