SOAP in Bali!

SOAP in Bali!

November 24th, 2008 by richard

No matter where you go in the world you can continue to use SOAP. With three hours difference from Melbourne I am awake very early and get straight into Word. It is great way to begin the day – even on holidays!

I loved today’s readings in Matthew 8-10 (21-11-08)

I concentrated on the great faith of the centurian. Because he was a man under authority he understood the power in the word of a superior officer. He certainly recognised Jesus as one with authority and therefore only needed a word to know that the work would be done.

In these three chapters it is interesting to note that with ‘a word’ Jesus drove out demons and healed the sick. He knew that it was God’s will to heal and was under the Father’s authority. He knew who faith worked and recognised it in others.

Hope you are continuing to be blessed by SOAP and it is becoming a habit in your life.

Our family has been doing SOAP at different levels for a few weeks now and we usually discuss it at the dinner table. SOAP has helped us to be more consistent and disciplined in our bible reading and application. Pastor Richard, we missed seeing you at McDonalds to discuss the SOAP readings these past few Mondays whilst you were in Bali!
